Louise Rushford (B.A. HONS FINE ART)
Artist, designer and founder
- Originally from Scotland.
- Spent childhood happily dancing and making objets d’art.
- Spent young adulthood misbehaving.
- Moved to London to study sculpture at art school.
- Postgraduate Studies in Dance/Choreography at Laban Dance School.
- Spent the next five years with London-based dance company, Deep See Dancers, trying to work out how best to merge my training in dance and sculpture.
- Compelled to choose art or dance (don’t know why) – art won!
- Galloping on to mid-life… exhibiting, teaching and curating (creating art and a family).
- Now in beautiful Bath. Inspired by the city and disillusioned with the tyranny of the Gallery Scene, Arthouse Originals was formed.
With a great sense of new found liberation, I can now draw on all that training, experience and diversity to develop Arthouse Originals in an ever increasingly, visually sophisticated world.
My skill (and thrill) is figuring out what the clients idea of beauty is… and then create it. It’s a tough job but someone has to do it!
LOVE: being a vegetarian, yoga, swimming and dancing.
HATE: being asked why i am a vegetarian.
